What is the history of the promise ring?
In the late Middle Ages (13th-16th centuries), men gave bouquet rings as a token of love to their romantic interests. The poetic ring-the name derives from poésie (French is the French for poetry or poetry)-often engraved with romantic phrases such as "Unity, only death" or "Love conquers everything". Choosing an appropriate inscription reflects the literary talent or education of the giver.
How to choose a promise ring:
Choose precious metals
The most common choices for ring metals are platinum, white gold, yellow gold and rose gold. Platinum and platinum look very similar and are the most popular choice. Platinum is more durable and hypoallergenic, while platinum has a similar silver-white appearance and is cheaper. To find out which precious metal your partner prefers, pay attention to the jewelry they currently wear. If most of their jewelry is platinum or silver, they may prefer platinum or platinum promise rings.
Choose a style
Does your partner prefer a minimalist and low-key look, or does it like charm and uniqueness? If you are unsure, check the types of clothes and accessories they wear most often. This should provide you with some clues to let them know if they like classic, modern, natural inspired, charming, or a combination of these rings.
Add a personal touch
Adding a small personal element to the promise ring of your important others can be significant. Try to incorporate aesthetic elements that are emotionally rich to you but not obvious to anyone else. If your first date is a walk through the park or a hike, choosing a promise ring inspired by nature may be a good way to add a personal touch. Other simple ways to personalize your promise ring might include choosing your or your partner's birthstone as a feature gem, or engraving a meaningful phrase or date.
Find ring size
Find out that the size of the promise ring you choose depends on the finger your partner will wear the ring on. Traditionally, the promise ring was worn on the ring finger of the left hand and was eventually replaced by an engagement ring. However, many people choose to wear the promise ring on the ring finger of their right hand or completely on the other finger. Make sure to measure the ring size accordingly!
