March 30th marked one of the RuneScape updates with the addition of its RuneScape skill: Archaeology. With numerous RuneScape skills already in the players' hands, it might need to take something truly unique to fulfill any gaps that the other 27 RuneScape skills do not already touch. This weekwe sat down together with the creative heads and passionate programmers of RuneScape to learn a little more about what we can expect jumping into this new content, and how it stands out among another RuneScape skills currently in RuneScape.
The quantity of content being released for Archaeology is shocking! Over a couple of decades. We kicked things off to select which RuneScape ability to develop. We then moved into pre-production, in which the group spent time picking and testing what the RuneScape ability was basically going to be about - taking a collection of brainstormed theories and ironing them out into a coherent and persistent central idea. With that concept in hand we proceeded into full production, which took slightly over a year.
It's been a few years since the previous RuneScape skill was released in RuneScape, which I believe might have been Invention. What prompted the conversation for the need for an Archaeology Buy Runescape gold skill? We started with the choice to earn a RuneScape skill. RuneScape skills are upgrades for RuneScape which specify RuneScape along with your own character. Having decided on that, we then went through a pitch and assessment procedure to choose which RuneScape skill to develop. Ultimately Archaeology which best combined catching the excitement and inspiration of the team with the sort of content it offered us.
