At the conclusion of a Ladder season, players who have successfully completed these Rune Words will have their Ladder characters transferred to a "non-Ladder" version of the game to continue playing. Later, at the start of the next Ladder season, players will create a new Ladder character and begin the process over again, this time to earn additional rewards.
