The channel has expanded to the point where you can earn a living out of it, enough to pay for the move from his parents' house and to a home in Brooklyn. (He also sells ebooks containing Madden tips on his Patreon account, which, he estimates, will account for a third of his revenue.)
The trash-talking concept didn't originate with Belton. While he's certainly the most prominent person doing it for Madden on YouTube for Madden the trash-talking videos are commonplace in other sports games such as NBA 2K. (Another kind of game Belton dislikes: "I thought Madden was an absolute scream but 2K actually frustrates me... I can't play it; that's because of how it upsets myself.")
The channel Belton plays one or two games each week, and throws the ones that are too boring to be posted. Finding the right trash talkers is a nitty-gritty process. "I've observed with these trash-talkers that the more they talk, the worse they do at playing," Belton says. In order to make good videos, Belton requires an opponent to be a good player and to be as offensive as they can.
But outside of making videos to promote his channel on YouTube, Belton isn't a fan of playing Madden to play for fun. Most of the time buy madden coins, his day is being edited. The time for a game is less than an hour, while editing the video takes eight hours.
