Even though rumors were circulating on the internet during the week, EA plans to announce two more updates to Madden 22's Franchise mode. EA is reiterating what it says is its support for Madden as a live-streamed game.
In a new statement, EA Sports told IGN: We are not averse to comment on rumors or speculation; however, we are committed to continuing to enhance Franchise as element of our Madden NFL 22 live experience and beyond. The two updates are part of the Franchise updates that will be available within Madden NFL 22. We'll give more details about the updates during the new year.
The news comes after a report from Sports Gamers Online that EA had opted to cancel additional update updates to the franchise modes for Madden 22. It cited IGN's interview with Madden 22 executive producer Seann Graddy. Graddy declared that the current content schedule is "slightly less ambitious than years in the past" since the team is concentrated on a few important areas rather than attempting to develop games on the same scale as Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode launched by Madden 20.
"I would say [the roadmap isprobably a little less ambitious than previous years because we're focused on a few key aspects within Madden 22 and also getting into Madden 23 in a big manner," Graddy said at the time. "So I'm sticking to what we've been saying for in the past couple of years"We're a live-streaming service and we'll keep updating cheap mut coins, however we're not going to be talking about a completely new mode."
