MyCareer's narrative remains shallow, the online servers are still aggressively mediocre, and microtransactions continue to be intrusive. When you include the fact that 2K didn't offer you free updates for existing owners, forcing them to either buy the $100 version or buy it separately for $70, it's hard to say that NBA 2K21 on next-gen is the much-needed redemption for a continuously disappointing franchise.

The NBA Draft happened on Wednesday night, and quite honestly, considering the way COVID-19 has impacted the development of NBA 2K21 along with the team, I didn't expect to find the rookies added to the game until next month.However, 2K needed a nice surprise for fans on Thursday morning. The entire draft class was added to the appropriate teams, and the trades that were made official with the league had already been upgraded.

2K also successfully utilized the scans from the rookies it utilized in MyTeam for NBA 2K20, also added a few more to add a bit of authenticity to Buy MT 2K21 the upgrade.
