There have been some problems with classic teams through the years, however there's an enormous problem regarding licensing for player likenesses. NBA 2K must pay a fee to a retired player each year for the right to use their likeness within the game. There are a few players who refuse to permit their likeness to be utilized for the purpose of playing. 2K hasn't reached a satisfactory financial agreements with any of the players. This is why classic teams typically do not have the right pieces that make them unique.

The Seven Seconds and Fewer Suns are the perfect examples of incompatibility. Joe Johnson is not on this team. Johnson was an important scoring option for Phoenix and averaged 17.1 point per game for Suns. Johnson's absence makes it hard to determine the Suns when playing online in competitive games. The Phoenix Suns in 1993 made the NBA Finals behind Charles Barkley's efforts. That team was excellent and featured Charles Barkley in the prime of his career. Barkley's request price has not been met by 2K, so the '93 Suns have been dropped from the team.

2K Sports needs to reach financial agreements with former players to be able to draw their similarity to this game. This will help complete the traditional teams and will allow 2K Sports to add new fantastic units to their game. The list of excluded players is extensive, however, there are some notable names on the list: Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Rasheed Wallace, Metta World Peace and Lamar Odom.

More Classic Teams - The classic teams are one of my favorite aspects of NBA 2K. It is quite cool to watch teams from the past face on against each other. How does the Bulls team compare to the modern NBA? This argument can be solved by including traditional teams. With the PlayNow mode, it's possible for the 1996 Bulls to take on the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers title-winning team. This is pure fantasy basketball.

The classic teams add some variety to PlayNow and help keep players from picking three teams over and over again. I love being able to pick different eras from the league. There are nine teams I think should be part of the game. The Thunder team is my personal favorite from this list. It was the most successful team of the Russell Westbrook-Kevin Davis era and it is worthy of recognition. They had a powerful group that was able to beat the Warriors when they were at their peak.

Aesthetics NBA 2K does an excellent job of imitating NBA arenas within the game. The effort that developers did to ensure that the hardwood, arena seating and logos are flawless is awe-inspiring. It would be a refreshing feature to see 2K include new buy mt nba 2k22 locations to the PlayNow mode. In previous games, 2K Sports had included locations that were not basketball arenas. When the series first began, the series, Rucker Park was included in the game.
