World of Warcraft Classic has been getting waves of articles updates since launch last year, tying in with the content releases to the Wow gold classic first game. Blizzard has said it's"compared" to adding expansions into the Classic encounter but no decision has been made.

In the time of writing, WoW Classic is currently on Period 5 of this PVE content program (see below) and the Ahn'Qiraj raid has been unlocked so, as soon as you reach maximum level, you will have access to a number of raids and World Bosses to tackle.

If you believe you are ready to play World of Warcraft Classic, you'll need a subscription to do so. Unlike contemporary Warcraft which enables you to produce as many characters as you enjoy and play with them up to level 20 without subscribing, if you are following the vanilla experience, you'll want to put your money where your mouth is. The good thing is that once subscribed, you'll have access to both Classic and contemporary Warcraft.You can pay a month at a time or you opt to subscribe to longer that will work out slightly cheaper.

Don't expect a fantastic uptick in visual quality -- these beam tracing effects just use to shadows, so you are simply going to see a softer, more realistic areas of darkness when you're using the choice. This doesn't revamp the game's entire lighting model, and that means you won't get as transformative an effect as in, say, Minecraft's RTX implementation.

You're going to want a GPU that supports ray tracing tier 1.1, with the latest drivers, in addition to the May 2020 upgrade for Windows 10 -- and, of course, you ought to be using DirectX 12.

As announced earlier this week, the GeForce 452.06 driver offers additional support for the WoW Shadowlands beta. You can head into the Blizzard site to opt-in for a chance at beta access, as always.

The people at Wowhead have captured a load of contrast shots to reveal what people ray-traced shadows seem like. It's a shame WoW ray tracing will not go beyond shadows for today, because the stylised design and simple character models would look incredible beneath the spotlight of exceptionally realistic lighting.

Blizzard first detailed Shadowlands at Blizzcon 2019.
