New Horizons is actually the most forgiving in the Animal Crossing Items show so far as leaving for an extended period of time goes. Villagers will remark that its been some time, then return to their regular dialogue. Flowers do not die anymore, and villagers can't leave without your approval. Worst you'll see are weeds and roaches, which don't take long to get rid of.

Except for Baarbara. I really like her so much I immediately closed my match so that she would not leave lol. Now I do not even take the opportunity with the idea bubble.They appear in your home when you are away for a certain amount of time. You walk over them to kill them. They aren't catchable.

Weeds do not grow back at the exact same speed as past games also, I have noticed. I went months without playing and there were just a small handful to wash up, took no time in any way. Usually they are everywhere.There's a max limit to weeds and after it is hit they all just stay how they are till some get picked iirc.

I had to look at every night my favourite villagers were not departing, and I remember crying and getting angry if somebody I enjoyed left. I even forced my mom to look at some times once I forgot my DS.Geez I worried me out with New Leaf that was why I stopped playing it and made me hesitant for New Horizon but..now I know. .

I concur that stress is what eventually made me quit playing Wild World, once I understood that so as to keep my town"living" I needed to become a slave to it, which put me away from the entire series all the way until this match, where those things are more relaxed.Another procedure is having an amiibo/getting lucky and using a fresh villager camp in your island. It is a modest cheaty though. When you eventually convince them (after hours of playing that frickin card game) and they ask to kick out someone, keep reloading the game (go into the dashboard without causing the dialogue and close the match without saving) until they indicate the one that you want gone. Not positive whether you understand so I hope this suggestion helps, but the basic procedure for moving people out is that every two weeks, a random villager is going to have the cloud bubble above their mind and will ask to move out. If you find the cloud over somebody that you want to keep's head, don't speak to them! The bubble won't be on them the next day but it won't restart the two week cycle. 1-3 days after another arbitrary villager will be chosen to possess the Animal Crossing Bells For Sale move out bubble. Just keep leaving them thinking (don't talk to them all that day) beforeDoxxing someone because their animal crossing character is a tone darker
