It'd be fine if jagex really used it though. Even if just once or twice a year. They did do leveling for charity which is nice, but that is a good way to strengthen the economy whilst creating a real-world impact. Iirc it is already in RuneScape, but has been removed following the event, there is no reason. Even if I'm misremembering it is not exactly a complicated upgrade, adding high scores and such would be a little more work I guess. But this could be something that's absolutely worth the time invested either way there's absolutely no downside to eliminating some gold from RuneScape.
We're already seeing quite serious inflation and gold getting less precious, plus the nuking of essentially any equipment up to dragon sitting in alch costs thanks to their overabundance on fall tables. This is 1 regard where RS3 deserves some serious charge, the introduction of the intention ability made clue hunting plus a lot of other stuff viable again instantly, and gave gamers a method to remove items from RuneScape while nevertheless being rewarded for this. It was among the best turnarounds for the market in gambling history, and it is loved by folks.
We need item sinks to shed items. Even the death mechanisms that are original are not a great sink. This is something jagex really must consider for osrs and put real time into creating real and workable sinks instead of just charging for dying or using artificial and meaningless sinks like 100m for a home decoration, or a 250m decorative crown that literally nobody cares about. Full support, get on it jagex.
Didn't they need to cancel the well of goodwill because of real world trading thing? I can't remember why but there was a reason why it never came back. Help me. It included Jagex's monetization model and a lot of consequences. It implied GP has real world value, by donating money based on buy OSRS gold how far gp was thrown into. When you run a gambling service like RS3 mtx you can't hide from it being labeled as betting when your in RuneScape game money legally has real life value.
