A mobile app that can send emails to prisons has appeared in Russia. It can send not only text but also pictures. Russian media reported that this app allows people to communicate with prisoners through smartphones.
All letters will first go to the mailbox of the prison administration, and then be printed and sent to the cell. The prisoner's handwritten reply will be scanned and sent back to the sender's mailbox. Letters and photos will be delivered within one to three days, excluding holidays.
