What are Watts for? To an Electric Bike

When we are talking about any vehicles with a motor, the power level is always a topic that can never be missed. It is true that the performances of most vehicles are directly related to what power they are designed with and for electric bikes, there is no exception. As a main indicator for the quality and performance of ebikes, the power levels of them are also precisely marked by numbers plus units, such as 250w, 350w, 500w, 750w etc. To choose the right one from them is of great importance to all ebike riders, but it can also be a little difficult and tricky. To get more news about volt electric bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

In order to get the ideal motor power level, ebikes buyers will first need some elementary knowledge about what power level is the best for different case scenarios and this requires us to answer a few questions. One, who will be riding your ebike? Two, what will your ebike be used for? Three, how much will your budget be? To get more news about how much does an electric bike cost, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Who will be riding your ebike?
The first thing you have to think clearly before purchasing an ebike is who the rider will be. This is because the weight of the person on your bike will largely influence its performance as well as how the rider will feel about his or her ride. An adult weighing 60kg---75kg can go comfortably and freely on a 250w ebike if he or she is riding on very flat terrains. However, once they are riding in hilly areas, 250w ebikes will meet a lot of frustrations. And for folks who are over 100kg, they are well advised to have an ebike of 500w or higher as higher power levels also mean easier operation on ride.To get more news about portable bike speaker, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

My advice is that you get an ebike of around 500w---750w because to my very personal experiences the rider on the bicycle is very unlikely to be limited to only one or two. You may be thin and think that a 250w or 300w is well enough but how about your parents? Your friend? They may borrow your ebike for a casual ride. Currently, my father and I share one ebike, a Magicycle of 750w. I ride it for commuting, and my father will ride it for exercising every time he finishes supper. We both find it magnificent.

What will your ebike be used for?
You need to be very sure why you want to buy an ebike because different power levels are designed to be suitable for different uses. For example, do you have any requirement on speed? Ebikes of higher power levels generally run faster than those of lower levels. It is common that 750w ebikes can run 28 mph while the top speed of 500w ones hardly reaches 20mph. For the 250w ones, the number will be down to around 15mph. Another factor we need to consider is the time of acceleration. It is simple to conclude that the higher the power level is, the quicker the acceleration can be. Quicker acceleration allows ebike riders to operate more easily and enjoyably on bikes which is crucial if you are riding in mountainous areas or rough terrains. This is because as riders are conquering hills and slopes, they need to remember to save energy in case an emergency situation occurs.

If you are based in big cities and ride for commuting every day, the different power level will not bring you much difference in the experience since the roads are flat and the routes are constant. However, if you are a really heavy ebike rider and like to take challenges from complex terrains, you'd better prepare yourself higher power level ones like the Magicycles because in those areas you'll definitely need to accelerate a lot and the repeated high heat cycles will bring significant damages to bicycles of lower power levels.

How much money do you plan to spend on your ebike?
I know it's kind of embarrassing to talk about money but the budget is always going to be taken into account when we make this choice. Understandably, the prices of most ebikes go up as the power level of their motors increase. We should not pursue those expensive high-level motors if we do not really need them. But keep it in mind that cost of having an ebike is not only from the labeled price. We'll also need to take a look at how often it needs a repair. Is the cost of maintenance included in the price? Some brands, like Magicycle, will offer certain discounts on some accessories that you will need on your bike, while some others will not. It is wise of you to take a careful evaluation on the price before you eventually settle down on a choice.

To sum up, to get the desired power level we need to carefully consider the above three questions: who is the rider; why do I need an ebike; what is the budget in mind. This is how I found my Magicycle. It suits different body shapes like those of my father and me and liberates us from heavy and repeated pedaling so I could fully immerse myself in the fun of riding for a long time and appreciating a visual feast of beautiful scenery in the natural world.

Is Riding an Electric Bike a Good Exercise?

We demonstrated on the aspect of physiological change that riding e-bikes is a good way of exercise in our last article. But how e-bikes can be beneficial for exercising exactly? To get more news about tektro aries, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Ebike Extends Your Exercise Time
According to studies of US researchers, e-bike riders usually spend more time on bikes than pedal bicycle cyclists. That's because bike users ride more frequently per week. Obviously, ebikes provide extra assistance for riders to pedal and thus they would prefer cycling when going outside, which is believed to be a green and healthy means of transport. Since the increasing amount of cycling time they have spent, e-bikers often travel longer distances than cyclists, thus getting a good chance to exercise. To get more news about sr suntour sp12 ncx seatpost, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Ebike Helps to Save Your Effort
There is evidence showing that e-bikes can elevate people's breathing and heart rates enough to get a meaningful workout. That is, you don't have to work up a sweat pedaling your bike to achieve your goal of fitness, all you need to do is effortlessly take a longer commuting trip. A research paper demonstrated that those who rode conventional bikes and electric bikes almost get the same amount of physical exercise. In a word, the impact of the extra assistance was offset by longer distances and greater frequencies that e-bike users rode. Furthermore, the beauty of the e-bike is that it gives a rider choices: if you want, you can ride an e-bike just like you ride a regular bike. If you want a exhausted workout, you can get it. But you don't have to. An e-bike can give you flexibility. To get more news about himiway cruiser, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Ebike Ensures You Take Moderate Exercise
Professor Ashley Cooper, former professor of Physical Activity and Public Health at Bristol University believes e-biking is a good way to get moderate-intensity activity. His research indicates that people who use e-bikes can gain moderate physical activity, which provides less intensity that traditional pedal bicycle. More importantly, riding an e-bike can improve cardiorespiratory fitness of people who were relatively inactive while not bringing them much pressure. It does help us with our health.

Ebike Makes You Enjoy Workout
Studies also show that ebikes appear to make exercise more approachable to those who are not avid exercisers. Take the Magicycle for example: with 7-level pedal-assist, the higher the level, the higher the power and the faster the speed. The electric power-assistant starts when the pedal is depressed, and automatically shuts off when you stop pedaling or when the brake is applied. Therefore, you can optimize your riding and enjoy the fun of cycling. A customer commented in Magicycle community, 'Me and my son took a ride down to the beach on the bike trail 27 miles all together today, what a blast!' By Joining the e-bikers, you will definitely experience great joy of exercise, especially cycling.

If you have misconceptions about e-bikes, now maybe you have a fresh view. Do you want to experience the fun of e-biking while doing good exercise? Why not go and join Magicycle community? E-bikes will be a big help for you to get enough exercise.

Route 1#- Skyway Trail Extension
Skyway Trail is a 12-mile trail that begins at Maximo Park and Boat Ramp in St. Petersburg and ends where it meets the Pinellas Trail.

While Maximo Park does have a disc golf course, and the trail itself is perfect for bird watching, the main attraction of this trail is the fact that it traverses Clam Bayou, a stunning estuary good for kayaking and rafting. You will cross the swamp on bridges and trails. The route is fully paved, generally smooth and used primarily for walking, running, bird watching and biking and is accessible year-round and good for all skill levels.

There are 2 designated accessible spaces in the small 43rd Street South paved parking lot at the north end of the trailhead. Both are van accessible with a striped access aisle. The trail surface is paved (with partial railings) and smooth. The entire trail is estimated to be in the mild grade category (3% or less). There are benches and picnic tables along the route to rest.

Route 2#- Clam Bayou Nature Park Loop
Clam Bayou Nature Park Loop is a 0.8 mile loop trail primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and bird watching and is good for all skill levels.

This is a short but scenic loop in Clam Bayou Park showcasing beautiful coastal greenery right in the Broadwater neighborhood. There is a boat launch access site that is ideal for kayakers and paddlers to explore the area by water. There are rentals available in the park as well. Tons of shorebirds can be seen around here and it's perfect for nature enthusiasts with kids.

Route 3#- St Pete Beach Trails
St Pete Beach Trailsis a 3.4 mile heavily trafficked point-to-point trail and is primarily used for hiking, walking and running that offers the chance to see wildlife.

The beach is located a few minutes from the center of St. Petersburg. The area around the beach feels like a laid-back, laid-back seaside town. It is full of quaint boutiques, markets, bars, cafes, and ice cream parlors. The main attraction of this trail is the fact that it goes through Pass-a-Grille beach.

Pass-a-Grille Beach has no developments on the beach itself, the beach is more or less the same as it has been for decades: nothing but sand, surf, and sun. But it stands out from the rest, the soft white sand stretching over 4 miles of undeveloped beach. It is the perfect place to spend a day when visiting St. Petersburg.

Fat Tire Electric Bikes: How to Choose the Right One for You

Electric bikes are becoming more and more popular every day, and for good reason! They are a great way to get around town, and they can help you save money on gas. But with so many different types of electric bikes available, it can be tough to figure out which one is right for you. In this blog post, we will discuss the different types of fat tire electric bikes available, and we will help you choose the right one for your needs! To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Electric bicycles were patented in the United States in the 1890s. For example, Ogden Bolton Jr. received U.S. Patent 552,271 for a battery-powered bicycle having a "6-pole brush-and-commutator direct current hub motor installed in the rear wheel" on December 31, 1895. There were no gears, and a 10-volt battery could supply up to 100 amperes to the motor. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The motor was designed to run on ordinary bicycle chains and tires. The first production electric bicycle with a double electric motor was made in 1897 by Hosea W. Libbey of Boston, Massachusetts. The engine was designed to fit inside the crankset axle's hub.To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Mathew J. Steffens invented a rear-wheel drive electric bicycle in 1898, which used a driving belt around the outside edge of the wheel. A rear-wheel friction "roller-wheel" style drive electric bicycle was also featured in John Schnepf's 1899 U.S. Patent 627,066. G.A. Wood Jr. re-examined and expanded Schnepf's idea in 1969 with his U.S. Patent 3,431,994. Wood's system consisted of four fractional horsepower motors linked by a set of gears.

Yamaha, a Japanese automaker, developed one of the first e-bike prototypes in 1989 and invented the pedal-assist system in 1993. Lee Iacocca, an American car legend, launched EV Global Motors in 1997, a firm that produced the E-bike SX, an electric bicycle model that was one of the first attempts to promote e-bikes in the United States.

E-bikes were referred to as e-bikes, power bikes, "pedelecs," pedal-assisted, and power-assisted bicycles by 2001. More robust types, referred to as "electric motorbikes" or "e-motorbikes," can reach speeds of up to 50 mph. The market today is growing in a fast phase and along with it is the popularity of electric bikes.
2. What is a Fat Tire Electric Bike, and how does it work?

Fat tire ebikes are just like regular bicycles, but they have an electric motor that assists the rider. The motor is usually located in the front or rear wheel, and it helps to propel the bike forward. Fat tire electric bikes typically have a range of 20-50 miles before needing to be recharged, and they can reach the top speed of up to 30 mph. Mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes are found on almost all electric fat tire bicycles.

There are two main types of fat tire electric bikes: pedal-assist and throttle-assist. Pedal-assist bikes have a sensor that detects when the rider is pedaling, and the motor provides power to the wheels accordingly. Throttle-assist bikes have a hand throttle that the rider can use to control the amount of power that is sent to the wheels.
3. Which electric bike should I purchase?

There are several types of e-bikes to choose from, and it really depends on your needs as to which one is best for you. There is an ebike out there for every type of rider!

The following are some typical electric bike types and who they're best suited for:
Mountain electric bikes. These are great for riders who want to explore off-road trails. They have greater suspension, a stronger frame, and specific ascending/descending gears. It's worth noting that electric mountain bikes are graded differently for uphill and downhill riding. Steep hills and off road terrain will require more power and may shorten the battery life. Trail riding is great exercise, and an electric mountain bike can get you there without breaking a sweat! Even though electric mountain bikes are designed to be ridden off-road, there's no reason you can't use one to commute to work.

Electric cruiser bikes. These are the holy grail of electric bikes. They are comfortable, stylish, and perfect for running errands or commuting to work. Electric cruiser bikes are best for leisurely riding, and they come in a variety of styles to suit your personality.

Electric folding bikes. As the name suggests, these are electric bikes that can be folded up for easy storage and transport. They are perfect for riders who live in small apartments or who need to take their bike on public transportation. While most electric bikes are simple to ride, electric folding bikes have a unique handling style. They're normally significantly lower to the ground, with smaller wheels to allow for folding. The only downside of this is it looks awkward for tall people to ride.

Electric cargo bikes. These are electric bikes that have been specifically designed to haul cargo. They often have a large front or rear rack to hold groceries, work equipment, or children. Electric cargo bikes are perfect for running errands or transporting goods around town. Weight capacity and power output are often higher on these compare to other bikes. Its maximum load capacity can go up to 400 lbs.

Fat tire e bikes. These are electric bikes that come with fat tires, which give the bike extra stability and traction. Fat tire e-bikes are perfect for riders who want to go off-road or who live in areas with snow and ice. Are you going to the beach? The shifting sands are no problem for fat tires. Do you want to go for a leisurely ride through the woods? All the roots and rocks on the route will be no match for fat tires. Despite the fact that they include a motor and a battery, fat tires are not the fastest electric bikes available. They're wonderful for leisure activities, but they might not be the ideal choice if you're in a hurry.

Working principle of electric bicycle thumble throttle

The speed control is commonly known as the turn handle, which is equivalent to the role of the throttle grip of a fuel car. The greater the rotation amplitude, the higher the signal voltage provided to the controller. It is one of the most frequently used wearing parts in electric vehicles. There is a strong return spring in the middle, no matter how big the opening degree, you can return to the minimum with loose hands, that is, do not let the motor provide power. The rotating handle uses a linear Hall and two opposite magnetic poles (N, S). The Hall element detects the linear change of the magnetic field when the handle is rotated and outputs a continuous linearly varying voltage signal of about 1.0 to 4.2V to achieve speed regulation. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The speed control is commonly known as the turn handle, which is equivalent to the role of the throttle grip of a fuel car. The greater the rotation amplitude, the higher the signal voltage provided to the controller. It is one of the most frequently used wearing parts in electric bicycleTo get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Another type of handlebar is the reverse handlebar, that is, the signal voltage changes from 4.2V-1.0V. The greater the handlebar opening, the slower the speed, or even stop. This turn handle is used less often. Generally, it also needs to cooperate with the controller. The controller will be marked with a working voltage of 4.2V-1.0V. Of course, it can also be adjusted, as long as the small magnetic poles (N, S) inside are adjusted by 180 degrees. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

What failures will occur in the handlebar? For example, the phenomenon of speeding, the key is opened, and the motor rotates at the highest speed. This situation usually occurs when the negative wire of the handle is broken. Because the negative line is universal for the whole car, it can be connected to any negative line on the whole car. Now there are many big brands of electric vehicles designed: when the negative line is turned off, the controller will not send a rotation command to the motor. Another possibility is a controller failure (which rarely happens).

Some cars will slowly run when the key is turned on and the handlebar is not turned. This is also one of the more common failures of the handlebar. In this case, the handlebar should be replaced immediately because there is a huge potential safety hazard . In addition, the handle itself is not expensive. Generally, repair is not recommended, and a new handle is directly replaced. This situation can also be judged by measuring the signal line voltage. The signal voltage at this time will be higher than 1.0V.

It must be flexible to turn the handle back. Sometimes the car will not return to the minimum "throttle" and return too slowly after the car falls. In general, you can loosen the hexagonal screws that fix the handle first, turn the handle, and the position is flexible, and then tighten it. If it is still not flexible, please replace the handlebar.

Velotric Discover 1 E-Bike Review

The electric bike market is getting more crowded and expensive by the day, which can be intimidating for a first-time buyer or someone looking for a good deal. So, when Velotric debuted the Discover 1 e-bike promising a premium commuter bike that's affordable and fun for anyone, I had to take a look.To get more news about Fat Tire Electric Bikes, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The Velotric Discover 1 is a Class 2 e-bike with that classic cruiser look along with the benefit of commuter features. It has plenty of bells and whistles, a powerful 500W motor to zip through the streets, and a comfortable step-through design for only $1,899. And while that may sound expensive, this bike packs a solid design, front suspension, front and rear lights, and can go upwards of 60 miles on a single charge. To get more news about volt electric bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The Discover 1 doesn't zoom past the competition in any single category, but for its first e-bike, the company nailed it. Velotric managed to blend a stylish design and premium features into a well-thought-out package at a price that's hard to beat.To get more news about how much does an electric bike cost, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

I've used the Discover 1 to whip around the streets in my neighborhood, hit some dirt trails (yes, it can do that too,) and even strapped a cooler to the rear cargo rack for a longer ride and comfortably enjoyed the wind in my face.

So, does the Discover 1 deliver on Velotric's promise of being a premium and comfortable commuter e-bike that's easy to use and affordable? Yes! Read on for the full review.Be prepared for a large and heavy box to show up on your doorstep, but pull it into the garage, and you'll have it assembled in no time. The Discover 1 comes safely wrapped in tons of recyclable materials and cardboard, which I appreciated.

Considering the relatively affordable price point and a slew of features, this could be many buyers' first e-bike. Understandably, the thought of "putting it together" might sound scary. If you can assemble some IKEA furniture or use a few basic tools, you'll have the bike ready to roll in around 30 minutes or so. You don't need any special skills or bike knowledge, and all the tools you'll need come in the box.The entire process is relatively simple. The bike comes with a set of easy-to-follow instructions and a little zipper bag for the tools. Grab a wrench, the included screwdriver, a few Allen hex keys, and a cold beverage, then get started.

You're not putting an entire e-bike together. Instead, you'll mount the front tire to the fork, align and tighten the handlebars, slide on the seat, and then attach the pedals (and optional headlight), and that's it. You don't have to install any wires, shifter cables, or components. This wasn't my first rodeo, and aside from a hiccup with the brakes (more on that below), it didn't take long before my maiden voyage.Being a class 2 e-bike means you can use the throttle, pedal, or both. Power up the screen, select how much you want the battery to help, and start pedaling. Just be ready to feel the 500W motor kick into action and propel you forward. It only has three pedal-assist levels, with the lowest just giving you a little help as you ride. Then, at level 3, you can quickly reach the 20MPH top speed, even without pedaling.

There's even a "push" option below level one, which will slowly turn the wheel and help you push and walk with the bike, like through a crosswalk or down the sidewalk as you leave your apartment building or driveway. The step-through design makes the Discover 1 comfortable and accessible to almost any rider, which is a big plus. The sitting position and comfy seat make it a joy to ride, and I like being able to change gears to gain extra speed, especially while going up a steep hill. The push-throttle, display, and gear-shifter are well thought out and easy to access. It even comes with a little bell which I installed on the left handlebar. Click it for a little bing, bing.

The Discover 1 looks like a cruiser bike combined with your typical commuter, so it'll appeal to many different users. Quickly stepping on, cruising around, or tossing a cooler or backpack on the back is great. At this price point, I was excited to see a large, bright, vibrant display full of helpful information. The screen always shows your speed, battery life, and assist level. Then, you can use the controls on the left side of the handles to check your trip distance, odometer, average speed, max speed, calories, current power usage, or even the voltage.

Being able to see (and try to beat) my max speed record, keep track of power usage, then see how many miles I go on each ride is a nice perk that many e-bikes in this price point don't offer. Not all e-bikes have a big screen, so this is a welcomed addition.

Preparation Tips for Electric Bike Riding in Wintertime

Riding an electric bike in the winter brings additional dangers. You need to worry about slick terrain, limited visibility, and damp conditions. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

From riding at slower speeds to switching to a fat tire electric bike, here are a few preparation tips for safely riding an electric bike in the wintertime.fat tire electric bikeTo get more news about fat tire electric bike for sale, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Use Wider Tires for Your E-Bike

If you plan on riding on potentially slippery surfaces such as icy streets, ensure that your e-bike has good winter tires. Use wide, studded tires for standard e-bikes when riding on icy terrain or plowed roads.

When riding on soft snow and slippery roads, use a fat tire electric bike. The wide tires cover more ground compared to the tires found on standard e-bikes.To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

You may also want to lower the pressure in the tires slightly. You get better traction and more grip, reducing the risk of losing control.

Lower Your Seat

If possible, lower the seat on your fat tire electric bike or standard e-bike. Sitting lower on the bike lowers the center of gravity, which increases stability and control.

You should be able to place your feet firmly on the ground when you sit. While this makes it more difficult to pedal in a fully upright position, the lower seat helps you stay balanced.

Slowly Warm the Battery

E-bikes can operate in below-freezing temperatures but the battery needs to slowly warm before charging.Cold batteries charge more slowly and may not reach full capacity, limiting range and power. However, rapidly heating the battery may cause damage.

Bring a cold battery indoors to slowly warm it to room temperature. If you need to park your e-bike outdoors in the cold, use a thick protective cover to insulate the bike and battery.

Along with cold temperatures, the damp conditions caused by snow and ice may damage the battery.Protect the battery for your fat tire electric bike with fenders or wrap-around mudguards. The guards keep mud and slush from reaching the battery and other components.

The Best Electric Bikes For Commuting

Next time you're sitting in traffic, standing up on a jam-packed train, or puffing your way up a steep hill on a bike, ask yourself if there's a better way to commute to work. The answer is yes. The answer is an electric bike.To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Requiring just a little effort on your own part to keep the wheels spinning, e-bikes are a perfect way to combine moderate exercise with a commute because you can ride without breaking a sweat. We've also found them to be no slower than taking public transport to work in London and a far more pleasant experience. In the long run, they're cheaper too.To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

That's especially true if you use the Cycle to Work scheme to get a discount on your e-bike. The £1,000 cap on bikes bought through the scheme has recently been lifted, so you can grab an e-bike and enjoy a 25-39% discount, depending on your tax rate. We've got a detailed explanation of how it works in our guide to the Cycle to Work scheme: it is a little complicated but if you feel like giving up, remember that the minimum you would save on the cheapest of our recommended e-bikes is £250 - nothing to sniff at.To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

For more info on what to look for in an e-bike, try our expert buyer's guide, or dive into our recommendations below, ordered by price to help you find something that matches your budget.God bless Decathlon and its reliable budget options - we're delighted to see the accessories haven't been stripped out to keep the price low, with integrated lights, mudguards and pannier racks included. The Elops 900 is a big beast at 24kg, but thankfully there are disc brakes so you'll be able to bring that heavy weight to a stop quickly even in wet conditions. The wide tyres, oversized seat and swept-back handlebars give it a comfortable city cruiser feel, although the rear-wheel motor and battery in the pannier rack means the ride won't feel quite as natural as an unpowered bike. One advantage with that placement of the battery is that it can be removed and charged away from the bike, something that's not always possible thanks to the fashion for integrating batteries into the frame.

Similarly priced to the Decathlon, this is a better bike, although it does away with the accessories so make sure you budget for lights and mudguards at the very least. You get great quality for your money, however, with Chinese manufacturer Bafang's battery and motor system upgrading the torque of the motor to 45Nm (compared with the B'TWIN's 30Nm) for a more beefy boost. It's also much lighter at 19kg and is available in hybrid or step-through frames.

The VanMoof is one of a new breed of smart bikes that connect to your phone, offering extra security features and enhanced personalisation of the ride. It's a great option for people who aren't that confident riding a bike, with the Dutch-style upright position helping you feel stable and aware of your surroundings, and the automatic gears giving you one less thing to worry about. We did find the shifting a mite clunky on our test ride, although it wasn't jarring. The boost button on the handlebars was a great addition, however, making it easy to avoid any physical exertion. The main downsides are its 19kg weight - not terrible but there are much lighter bikes at this price - and a battery that can't be removed to be charged.

A mammoth range of 80-130km and a price under £2,000 make the Carrera Crossfuse a very attractive commuter option, especially since those with a 5-10km commute will get through the working week on one charge. The Crossfuse has a torque sensor so the motor delivers assistance in a very smooth manner, without the jolting starts that can be an annoyance on cheap e-bikes. There are no integrated lights and the machine is no lightweight at 24kg, but it offers the range and ride typical of a £2,000-plus e-bike for £1,899.

Cruise through your commute with this powerhouse hybrid e-bike, which has a range of 65km even if you stick exclusively to the top level of assistance and will carry you through 140km if you put it in eco mode. The swept-back handlebars ensure a comfortable riding position, and the Motus also comes with a pannier rack plus front and back mudguards.

At under 14kg this is one of the lightest e-bikes available, thanks to the ebikemotion system that dials down the power and squeezes a smaller battery into the downtube - a reasonable trade-off in our opinion, especially as there's enough oomph in the motor for you to ride in your work clothes and not sweat through them. It's also a real looker and you can't say that about many, maybe even any, e-bikes.

This is our top all-round pick for commuters right now. That's not just because of its relatively low 16.1kg weight, integrated battery and lights, oil-free belt drive or 70km range. And it's certainly not because of the name Cowboy. It's really because of the SIM card in the bike, which means you (or ideally the police) can track it down via GPS if it gets stolen, and also that it can't be turned on without the partner app. Given the recent prevalence of bike thievery in the UK, clever anti-theft features like these are a godsend, and something we hope other brands take note of.

We recently reviewed the Ampler Curt, a flat-bar road bike similar to the Cowboy (above). While the Cowboy edged it in a head-to-head because of the price, we loved the Ampler experience. The Estonian company makes relatively light e-bikes (17.2kg in the Stout's case), which hide the battery and come with all the trimmings - mudguards, puncture-resistant tyres, pannier rack and powerful integrated lights. Despite the slim frame and battery, power isn't compromised as on the Ribble AL e (also above) - bang it on the highest assist setting in the app and getting around is zero effort, even up steep hills.

Ducati unveils two new folding electric bikes, expanding its e-bike portfolio

Ducati may not have a consumer-level electric motorcycle yet (and barely has a racing electric motorcycle, for that matter), but the company can't stop pumping out smaller two-wheeled electric vehicles. Case in point: Ducati has just unveiled two new folding electric bicycles. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Both electric bicycle models were released under Ducati's Scrambler brand, which has grown into a heavyweight lifestyle brand in recent years.Ducati has leveraged it before for folding electric bikes, and appears to be sticking to its guns with the latest models unveiled recently. The new SCR-X and SCR-E GT are both fat tire folding e-bikes that use a 60 Nm Bafang rear-mounted hub motor for power. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The 48V system on both bikes is generally associated with higher power, but the EU-based company was forced to limit the speed of the e-bikes to a mere 25 km/h (15 mph) to conform to local electric bicycle regulations. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The SCR-E GT is more road-oriented and comes with 20″ street tires matched to spoked wheels.

A 500 Wh battery is said to offer 50 miles (80 km) of range, and is removable for charging off of the bike. Considering the pedal assist nature of these e-bikes, that's likely a reasonable range rating.A larger battery with 614 Wh of capacity will also offer more stored energy, which is important for e-bikes ridden in harsher off-road conditions that often require more power from the battery.

The SCR-X adopts a step-thru frame that will make it easier for riders to mount the bike without swinging a leg over the tall saddle, while the SCR-E GT uses a step-over frame instead .

Riders should expect the two new models to become available later this month across Ducati's dealerships and online, though the company has yet to reveal pricing details. The motorcycle company first rolled out an electric mountain bike in 2018 via a partnership with THOK bikes, marking the company's first electric two-wheeler.

At the time, Ducati was teasing an electric motorcycle in its future but was still making excuses for why the company wouldn't be able to develop one for many years. The company followed up with several more models of electric mountain bikes in 2019.

By 2020, Ducati was toying with electric folding e-bikes and produced a number of interesting models with fairly new features such as frame-integrated lighting.Ducati continued releasing new electric mountain bikes in 2020, improving the performance and quality level of the e-bikes.By early 2022, the company released its first electric road bike designed for high-end racing bike consumers. The bike also came with a Ducati-sized price tag though, asking for a lofty €7,690 (approximately US $8,020).Ducati may have made more progress on the electric bicycle front than in its electric motorcycle division, but the latter has seen a number of headlines lately as well.

Earlier this month Ducati unveiled specs on its V21L racing electric motorcycle prototype that will become the sole model used in the FIM MotoE racing series next season.

Ducati has confirmed that it will produce at least 18 of the bikes for the 2023 season of the FIM MotoE racing series. Each of the V21L electric motorcycles will be capable of outputting 110 kW (147 hp) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) of torque. The bike was said to reach a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph) on a test circuit in Mugello, Italy.

Despite carrying a rather large 18 kWh battery pack, Ducati was able to bring the weight of the V21L prototype down to just 225 kg (496 lb). That's still a hefty bike, but weighs significantly less than the 282 kg (621 lb) Energica Ego electric motorcycle that it will replace beginning in the 2023 season.

While Ducati may have spent years dragging its feet on two-wheeled EVs, it's hard to claim the company isn't playing catchup now with a series of big unveilings. What do you think of Ducati's EV progress? Let's hear your thoughts in the comment section below!

This New Electric Bike Has Tires So Fat

When it comes to two-wheeled vehicles, the fat tire trend hasn't always been the most glamorous--or most desired, for that matter. But one new e-bike may just have a few riders changing their tune.To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Velocifero's Beach MAD electric motorcycle marries Italian design with tires fat enough to conquer even the most unwelcoming terrain. Not only are the novel accessories pragmatic for off-road riding, they make for a more enjoyable, buoyant ride. Whatever it may lack in more traditional slender looks, the bike more than makes up for in sheer fun and attitude. And that's the whole point of a bike like this if you ask us.Recently unveiled at the Bangkok International Motor Show, the Beach Mad isn't the most powerful e-bike on the market with a 2kW continuous motor only capable of hitting 37 mph. However, choosing to take it for a spin in the right environment can make all the difference. Though recent testing has proven it a surprisingly good street bike, it can tackle far more than your average pavement. As the name would imply, it seems perfectly suited for riding at the beach. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The bike's battery is likewise modest with an estimated range between 37 and 43 miles, a meaningful distance, but not enough for extended excursions. But it's more than enough for what seems designed for: mini adventures. With those substantial wheels, it can tackle trails, hills and sand dunes alike. Indeed, the bike seems more like a dune buggy on two wheels than a motorcycle.Given that the Beach Mad debuted recently, there has yet to be any official word on pricing. However, Velocifero's points of sales are widespread, and so it's more than likely that whenever it comes to market, you will have ready access to snag one for yourself. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Love riding your electric bike along Anchorage's trails?

Combine parts of a fat bike and mountain bike into a reverse tricycle, add a battery-powered motor and what do you get?To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

A bizarre creature with two front wheels and a fat tire in the back that can effortlessly spurt around Anchorage, smoothing out hills and adding stability over bumps, according to its creator, Jeffrey Todd Brown."I like to say it's the closest thing you'll get to a 'Star Wars' pod racer on wheels," he said.To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Electric cycles can't legally be ridden on Anchorage's sidewalks, recreational trails and bike paths, according to the Anchorage municipal attorney. That includes commercially available electric bikes that, unlike Brown's unusual invention, look a lot like standard bicycles. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Anchorage's municipal code isn't the only obstacle. State law treats e-bikes like motor scooters that are limited to roads and streets.

Brown, who spent two years and more than $1,000 on his invention, has thoughts of one day selling it.He said the law needs to support electric cycles that offer people new ways to commute. The electric rides might one day provide the basis for a new industry in Alaska, similar to popular fat bikes that originated here.

And Brown isn't alone. Advocates say they're as safe as traditional bikes and should be treated the same. A growing variety of electrically assisted bikes -- the motor kicks in when the pedaling starts, adding extra oomph to each stroke -- are showing up across the city.

But detractors say they present extra risk on bike paths because they're heavy and can boost speeds, increasing the potential for crashes.Cary Shiflea, founder of Alaska eBike, said e-bikes are growing in popularity in Alaska and nationally. His small business offers more than 60 electric bikes on its website, thanks to an explosion of styles from manufacturers outside Alaska.

The offerings include cargo e-bikes with strong propulsion systems, mountain e-bikes with shock absorbers that smooth rocky trails and motorized urban e-bikes with racks for groceries.Pedaling them is sort of "like being on a moving walkway" at the airport, except the motor stops when the pedaling ceases, Shiflea said on Friday, as he showed a $2,500 Surface Boar fat-tire e-bike to a reporter.

The e-bike weighed about 55 pounds, about 20 pounds higher than many standard fat bikes. But the Surface Boar looked sleek, with the rechargeable battery mounted along the frame and a large rear hub housing the motor.

The motorized help is limited to 20 mph, meeting a federal requirement.

Going that fast takes effort. On Friday, a reporter on a flat street pedaled aggressively but couldn't exceed 19 mph on the digital monitor. As soon as the pedaling stopped, so did the electric help. The motor was set to its strongest level -- it can be hand-adjusted while riding. The e-bike gained speed more quickly than a traditional bike, but it also stopped quickly with disc brakes.About three-quarters of his customers have been the elderly or people battling health issues, including former cyclists with bad knees or hips, he said. Some younger folks have purchased e-bikes as well, choosing them instead of cars to eliminate gas, insurance and other expenses.

The library had checked with three municipal departments, including the Anchorage Police Department, to make sure the e-bike presented no legal complications. The library was told the e-bike could legally be operated anywhere a normal bike could, as long as it wasn't used at fast speeds, said Sarah Preskitt, a librarian.

Electric mountain bikes come to the Bay Area but face bans

It's just so otherworldly, the sudden, silent surge that sends you flying uphill while you pedal with minimal effort. As a tech product, these "pedal-assist" bikes are flat-out impressive. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

But as an increasingly popular phenomenon, they raise a host of issues. And as their numbers on Bay Area trails grow and land-use officials ponder restrictions, conflict and controversy are bound to follow.I decided to hit the trails for a couple hours recently, alternating between an electric bike powered by a 250W Bosch motor with a lithium battery and a traditional full-suspension mountain bike.To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

I found the motorized technology simple to operate - a push of a button on a handlebar-mounted controller lets you power up and down through five settings, topping out at "turbo." The motor only kicks in when the rider is pedaling. To get more news about ebike accessories, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Using turbo and ascending a moderate hill, a few strokes of the pedals triggered a rocket-like boost, while the lower settings required more leg power. Still, even on turbo, a particularly steep grade required an effort that had me huffing and puffing, although to a considerably lesser degree than on my regular mountain bike.

And on bumpy medium-grade hills, the power-assisted riding was relaxing enough for me to gobble a chicken sandwich, slurp cherry ice cream and even enjoy a refreshing bottled beverage.

Downhill, the bike's 48-pounds, 29-inch wheels and front-and-rear shock absorption made for a smooth ride, though the weight meant the bike was harder to maneuver than a traditional mountain bike and felt slightly less nimble. The motor sits at the bottom of the bike, where the pedal cranks attach, and the battery is mounted on the frame in front of the motor. With a 30-mile range on turbo and 90 miles on eco - after a full three-hour charge - I had little worry that I would run out of juice. A spare battery costs upward of $700, so riders tend to stay within range, keeping an eye on the charge-indicator lights on the battery, rather than carrying an extra power pack.

So far, the bikes' debut onto California trails has met with little overt resistance - even the Sierra Club has declined to take a position. But many trails remain closed to the bikes, and rumblings of discontent from traditional mountain bikers and official reviews underway foreshadow future trouble.

Legendary mountain bike builder Richard Cunningham of San Diego said he'd ridden electric mountain bikes and found them "absolutely fun." But he still doesn't want them on trails."If it was easy, everybody would be out there. It makes the backcountry unpopulated, and that's why we go out there," Cunningham said. "We go out there to disengage, and not to defend ourselves against another technology."

One rider who might not be on the trail without an e-bike is Bob Widinski of San Rafael, who in his younger years spent a lot of time riding traditional mountain bikes in Marin County. Now, he's 72, and started riding electric mountain bikes five years ago.

"I've just gotten to the point that it's difficult for me to ride some of the trails because I don't have the lung capacity that I used to have," said Widinski, a wine-industry consultant. "I can get back on the trails that I used to ride. I enjoy riding again, so much. It always brings a smile to my face."

At the Motostrano shop in Redwood City, owner Joe Witherspoon has been selling electric mountain bikes for about three years, and sales have doubled to more than 200 per year. His average buyer is male, aged 50 to 55, Witherspoon said."They're folks who look at a time when they can't ride. Or they haven't ridden for 20 years and they're out of shape. They don't want to get ready for three years before they do this," he said.

E-bike prices at Motostrano range from $2,500 to $16,500. With most manufacturers using Bosch motors, price differences have more to do with the frame, suspension and components such as brakes, cranks, wheels and shifters. So far, only one buyer at Motostrano has coughed up for the priciest model, made largely of carbon fiber. The purchaser was "an Arabian sheikh" who bought two of the bikes, which are made by Germany's Haibike, Witherspoon said.

It's not necessary to shell out thousands to sample the electric mountain bike experience - Motostrano is one of several Bay Area shops that rent the machines, typically for $100 per day and up. Motostrano loaned this newspaper a $4,400, German-made Cube "Stereo Pro 120" electric mountain bike for our trail test.

CAMTB Statement about Electric Bicycles

In Spring 2020, CAMTB conducted a survey of mountain bike organizations around California, to help inform the development of public comments on the Department of the Interior's rulemaking process for Electric Bikes. To get more news about 52V Ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The findings were presented in a public virtual conference call, and CAMTB submitted comments to the four agencies under the Department of the Interior. Our submitted comments are consistent with the statement below. To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

This position statement was presented the Advisory Council and revisions were made in November 2020 based on feedback received. The CAMTB board formally adopted the statement o March 10, 2021.To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

This statement is a "living" document that we intend to re-visit as needed to best comply with changing regulations, demographics, and community needs. It is also available as a PDF. We welcome your feedbackAfter much research, review of other policies and input from advocates across California, The California Mountain Biking Coalition (CAMTB) Board of Directors has developed a statement that reflects the input received from our membership organizations regarding e-Bikes and e-Mountain Bikes (e-MTB), hereafter referred to as "e-bikes".

CAMTB is an organization which was born from the need to build consensus among off-road cycling and trail organizations across California. With e-bikes rising in popularity and quickly becoming a significant and growing user group both on and off-road, CAMTB believes it is in everyone's best interest to provide clear guidance to public land managers and the communities in which we all ride regarding where and how to accommodate these new and quickly evolving bicycles. Technology is quickly improving with lighter and more integrated systems creating difficulty identifying e-bikes from traditional bikes on the trail. E-bikes have benefited bike shops and bike manufacturers as sales of these bikes are on the rise. Cyclists have also experienced the benefits of this new technology, allowing them to continue to enjoy the outdoors when potential health and mobility challenges might otherwise prevent or seriously limit their saddle time, and lowering the barriers to entry for newer riders.
As growing evidence indicates, when ridden responsibly, the trail impact (per mile) of e-bikes is similar to that of traditional bikes. Knowing this, CAMTB supports the use of Class 1 e-bikes on all natural surface trails where bicycles are currently allowed, unless there are specific circumstances that warrant a prohibition of their use. Such circumstances include a public or private land manager who restricts their use, or a riding area or trail condition that justifies prohibiting e-bike use. Consistent with CAMTB's core tenet of supporting local control and engagement in making decisions affecting land use, CAMTB only supports such restrictions or allowances when the local cycling and multi-use trail community is included and engaged in the decision-making process.

Summary Position: CAMTB supports Class 1 e-bike use on any bike-legal non motorized trails unless their use is posted as prohibited by the land manager after consultation with the local cycling and trail user community. CAMTB also supports Class 1 and Class 2 e-bike access to roads, bike lanes and non-motorized paved and improved surface recreational trails, unless specifically restricted or signed closed by the local jurisdiction. CAMTB does not support the use of Class 2 or Class 3 bikes on natural surface trails, but supports their use on streets and unimproved natural surface routes constructed for and open to vehicular traffic or areas designated for off-highway vehicle or motorcycle use. Lastly, CAMTB believes prominent and consistent labeling for all e-bikes containing the classification number, top assisted speed, and motor wattage should be added to all e-bikes, as is required by California law.

CAMTB asks that cyclists check and follow local regulations prior to riding an e-bike and reminds all riders that the trail etiquette for e-bikes is the same as for all other bicycles; please yield to equestrians and hikers on shared-use trails and obey all relevant rules, including speed limits.

RadRunner Plus, an advanced fat-tire ebike-moped hybrid

Last year in August, Rad Power Bikes unveiled the RadRunner, a fat-tire electric utility bike that was ranked as the most affordable in its catalog and borrowed the designs of the manufacturer's other bikes. To achieve the price of only $1,299, the company left out many features that typically make for a more expensive price tag.To get more news about himiway ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

And now, the company has introduced a new variant of its most economical electric bike, which offers all those advanced features that were missed in the original RadRunner to make for a more comfortable, adaptable, and expensive experience. The new "RadRunner Plus," maintains the same design and the same mechanical characteristics of the original version. To get more news about fatest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

It will cost about $400 higher, but for that added price, it incorporates a seven-gear shifter, front suspension fork, LCD screen, front and rear fenders, in addition to a resistant LED light and a series of aesthetic improvements, keeping the same aspect. It is still a low enough price compared to the prices at which many electric bikes with advanced features are.To get more news about ebike accessories, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The RadRunner Plus, which is specific for urban use, has the potential to overcome some difficult terrain with its tires. It promises a comfortable journey with its front suspension system and thick sidewall tires.Just like the original version, it combines the same 20-inch wheels with 3.3-inch-thick Kenda tires of the RadRover, the frame of the RadMini, and the load capacity of the RadWagon and adds the passenger pack (seat, footrests, and protector). The bike has a 750W brushless Bafang geared hub motor with 80 Nm of torque and supports up to 20 mph (32 km/h) speed. It has a battery with a capacity of 48V, 14 Ah (672 Wh), which offers a range of 25-45 miles (40-72 km) per charge, which, according to the manufacturer, takes six hours.

G-Force ZM E-Bike Review

Now let me be straight up the G-Force ZM E-Bike blurs the lines of e-bike and motorcycle, which may depending on how you ride this bicycle, cause some issues. To get more news about fastest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

For our test I rode the 85 lb. ZM G-Force Electric Bike on dirt trails and on pavement through town to see just what this bike was all about. I even donned full face helmet for the first test ride as I wasn't sure how rowdy this bike would get.

With 110mm adjustable front fork suspension and a rear suspension system coil spring the G-Force ZM Fat Tire Electric Bike does well on and off trail. Keep in mind this isn't a dirt bike, nor a mountain bike, nor really a bicycle, it fits someplace in the middle.

Traditional mountain bikes have around 130mm-160mm of travel so you won't be able to hit the same sort of drops on this bike. What you can do is zip around on a variety of trails from mellow single track to zipping down the street while passing cars in many instances. This bike wants to go fast and does that best on the street. The G-Force ZM E-Bike is built around a 750W rear hub motor that has a peak output of 1300W. Now you won't notice the 1300W on dirt, but when the tires of this bike hit the pavement lookout. Off the line this is the fastest e-bike I have ever tested.

Which brings us back to the whole getting in trouble riding an e-bike thing I started this article off with. The G-Force ZM is an e-bike first and foremost however it looks much more like a dirt bike and performs like a motorcycle with it's incredible pickup and go. When you hit the throttle on this bike be sure your really holding onto the handlebars as it wants to go fast, even in the lower power assist modes you can still hit top speeds. I got the bike up to 28mph which was plenty for me as our local speed limit in town is 25mph.

Where can you ride this G-Force E-bike? If your not being an idiot riding the G-Force ZM on your local bike paths shouldn't be a problem. The bike seems to do best though riding with traffic as it's incredibly quick at starting and stopping. This is one of the e-bikes you ought to be wearing a helmet when riding as well your basically on a motorcycle classified as a class 3 e-bike.

Currently there are two batteries for G-Force ZM E-Bike available. The stock bike comes with the 48v 13.5ah or the upgraded battery the 48V 20Ah battery. The difference is only $100 to go with the upgraded battery which offers almost 30 more potential miles per charge.

The battery took about 3-4 hours to charge and worked best on a full charge. As it went down a bit I noticed the throttle lost some of its power as is the case with most e-bikes. I would recommend charging this bike fully after each use. Your buying this bike for it's power, so why not operate it at full capacity, full send, the entire time?
One of the rad things about this bike is it's built in horn. It's a push button horn on the handlebar that you can actually hear while traveling in a car. Far from the little cheap ding bells a lot of e-bike brands are using as of late. So if your riding in the street with traffic why not have a horn. I would guess turn signals will be coming next.

The bike also has a super powerful headlight, it's massive like the sort you see on off road trucks as aftermarket adds ons combined with a tail light for riding at night.

For seat the G-Force ZM E-Bike uses a banana style seat that can hold a second rider thanks to the bikes total carrying capacity of 400lbs.

The Best E-Bike Chargers to Keep Your Ride Ready at All Times

While most e-bikes come with chargers you can use at home, you may want another e-bike charger that you can use at work, or an e-bike charger that can either handle charging multiple types of e-bike batteries or that can charge your e-bike battery faster than the charger that it comes with. Or perhaps you need a replacement for your existing charger because it stopped working. Whatever the reason, these are the top chargers for all sorts of e-bikes and their batteries. To get more news about ebike battery charging, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

What to Consider
The most important thing to consider when looking for an electric bike charger is making sure it's compatible with the battery on your e-bike. A couple of important things to consider are finding a charger that meets your battery's voltage needs, the amperages the charger produces, and the connection it has for charging your battery or batteries.

Voltage
E-bike batteries generally have one of three voltages: 24 volts, 36 volts, and 48-52 volts. A charger should have a slightly higher top voltage than the battery it's charging. For example, a 36-volt bike battery can be charged by a charger that operates at up to 42 volts.

Amps
The amp rating of a charger controls how fast it can charge your battery. Models with higher amperage rates can charge batteries faster. Some chargers have fixed amp ratings, while others are adjustable. Some full-featured chargers, like the Satiator from Grin Technologies, are adjustable to each battery's charging needs and can adjust amperage throughout the charging cycle to help protect the battery.

Connectors
Different batteries have different types of connectors. The majority of batteries for e-bikes have one of a few types of connectors for charging. The most common is the DC barrel connector, also found on many low-voltage transformers you use at home. Another is the XLR Connecter, which is a series of connectors like those used to connect microphones and music equipment, and which can carry higher voltages. Other connectors include the XT90 or XT60, which can carry higher currents. Some more modern connectors are quick-release connectors that are proprietary to the bike or battery brand, like Shimano or Bosch. In those cases, you'll need a charger from that company. In case you don't know what type of connector your battery has, Grin has a list of connectors commonly used here.

Battery Type
The most important considerations when buying a charger for your e-bike battery are listed above, but the type of battery you're charging is important, too. More and more batteries used on e-bikes are lithium ion or polymer batteries or nickel metal hydride (NiMH) or cadmium (NiCad), although bigger e-cycles or trikes may still use lead acid batteries.

When using a battery charger for your e-bike, it's important to unplug the battery once it's full. Leaving a battery on the charger for too long will keep it cycling and topping the battery off; over time, this can reduce how much overall charge a battery will hold. Some smart chargers claim to do this already, but it's still a good idea to unplug them when they're not being used.

We don't recommend charging an e-bike via a vehicle unless you have a high-output inverter or AC plug in it, as e-bike batteries have higher voltages than car batteries. Similarly, we don't recommend charging an e-bike directly from a solar panel unless you have an intermediary battery bank.

How We Selected
We based our choices on a number of factors, chiefly glowing expert reviews and e-bike charger companies with stellar reputations. We also selected the chargers listed below based on current availability, and all of the models you'll find below have average customer ratings of at least 4 stars.

Was the world's fastest electric bike built in New Orleans?

Kody Najarian is an Irish Channel inventor who believes he's built the world's fastest electric bicycle. Najarian said the bike was timed covering a quarter mile in 14.98 seconds at the No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose on June 10. That's 76 miles per hour, which Najarian says is "the quickest charted pedaler."To get more news about fastest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

By pedaler, he means it's a powered bicycle, not a motorcycle. There's a difference. Back in 2014, Najarian converted a salvaged Suzuki from gas to electric. But his new creation is built with parts that were made to convert an ordinary bicycle to electric power. In its finished form, the hot rod bike is designed to allow him to travel by leg muscle when he's not zipping along a race track. To get more news about ebike for sale, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
Najarian said that the pair of disk-shaped motors that drive his bike "may be rated at 3,000 watts," for continuous travel, but "I can put 21,000 watts through them for 15 seconds" in a drag race situation. The throttle, he said, is more-or-less on or off.

Despite the bike's speed, it's quiet, humming like a sewing machine as it rockets past.

Najarian stores the rows of extra batteries needed to propel the electric bike under the padded seat, which is held on with an Ace bandage. He laughingly said he likes to keep the bandages on the bike, not his body.

Of course there is a certain Evel Knievel aspect to Najarian's record setting attempts. He recently demonstrated his ability to pop a wheelie on the heavy, low-slung bike, and burn both tires simultaneously while holding the squealing, smoking machine in his arms. But underlying the daring, he says, is a serious ecological mission. He believes electric transportation should replace most internal combustion vehicles and he wants to contribute to the revolution.

Najarian, 31, moved to New Orleans a decade ago from Toledo Ohio during the post-Katrina recovery. He's since become a machinist, adept at everything from an old-school metal lathe to a high-tech 3-D digital printer. He plans to further refine the bike design, and attempt to set the 90 mile per hour mark. He's hopeful his demonstrations will someday interest sponsors.

"The future of transportation is happening everywhere," he wrote in a text message, "but some very serious research and development is happening right here in NOLA."

Safety charity highlights fire risk from unsafe e-bike chargers sold online

A leading electric safety charity has urged electric bike owners to only use compliant chargers to top up the battery on their machines, after finding a number of 'highly dangerous' chargers for sale via four leading online shopping sites. To get more news about ebike battery charging, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

An investigation by Electrical Safety First unearthed nearly 60 listings for mains chargers that were available to UK users but fell "well below" UK safety standards on Amazon Marketplace, eBay. The products were listed by third-party sellers using the 'marketplace' sections of the sites. To get more news about electric mtb, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Stay up to date with the latest electric news: it's the FREE Move Electric newsletter

The charity said that the listed products were mainly advertised as e-bike chargers, with others for multiple use to charge the lithium-ion batteries of machines including e-scooters and hoverboards. Electrical Safety First said the units all failed to meet the necessary standard for UK plugs, with many apparently having no fuse. That meant the chargers had no means of cutting out in the event of a fault that could potentially start a fire.

Electrical Safety First also identified issues with the dimensions of the plugs on the devices, which it said increased the risk of electric shocks and suggests that the device has not been adequately tested.

There have been a number of fires associated with charging lithium-ion batteries in e-scooters and e-bikes, with several fire services warning owners to only charge in well-ventilated areas and under supervision.

The London Fire Brigade recently issued a warning after it determined that an e-bike lithium-ion battery sparked a blaze in a 12th floor flat of a Shepherd's Bush high-rise (pictured above). Sixty firefighters were required to treat the fire, and one man was taken to hospital. That was one of 32 fires London Fire Brigade attended involving e-bikes in the first half of 2022, with another seven involving e-scooters and a further 17 related to other ligium-ion batteries.

Electrical Safety First said that several recent fires sparked by e-bike batteries have been linked to DIY conversion kits of machines and incompatible chargers.

The charity contacted the online marketplaces involved about the listings, and all of those identified have now been removed or blocked. Electrical Safety First says one marketplace subsequently identified and removed "hundreds" more listings.

Martyn Allen, Electrical Safety First's technical director, said: "By the very nature of the batteries these dangerous charging devices are powering, it is a potential disaster waiting to happen. The process of charging e-bike batteries must be done with compatible and compliant chargers.

"These chargers we have identified for sale all pose an increased risk of fire and electric shock and should never have been available for sale to UK shoppers in the first instance. Given the frightening nature of lithium-ion battery fires, it is essential the charging equipment doesn't pose any unnecessary risk to the battery or user.

"The lack of vital regulation needed to ensure online marketplaces are responsible for the safety of goods sold via their platforms is contributing significantly to dangerous products entering people's homes. The Government must bring forward urgent laws to finally end this scandal."

What Is A Full-Suspension Electric Mountain Bike Good For?

People love riding mountain bikes for both fun and exercise. And as electric bikes have gained more and more popularity, mountain bike riders start to try electric mountain bikes .To get more news about full suspension electric bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

When it comes to electric mountain bikes, full-suspension electric mountain bikes must be the ones that should be discussed. This kind of ebike features both a suspension front fork and a rear suspension, which is the reason why they are called full suspension electric mountain bikes. So what is a full-suspension electric mountain bike good for? Check out the rest of the content below to find the answers. To get more news about e bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

4 Reasons to choose a full suspension electric mountain bike

1. Cost more but worth it

Compared with regular electric bikes, full-suspension electric mountain bikes can cost more. The price starts at around $3000. It is not strange as the type of ebike offers a wonderful performance on a variety of terrain. That is to say, a full-suspension electric mountain bike can be suitable for all kinds of riding, like mountain biking, city commuting, or traveling. Reasonably priced with huge upgrades, it does sound worth it.

2. Best for technical trails

One of the biggest reasons to purchase a full-suspension electric mountain bike is that it is almost the best for technical trails. For people who love to ride over rocks and bumps to experience that excitement, a full-suspension electric mountain bike is the most ideal. This type of ebike is specially built with both front and rear suspension, providing all-around shock absorption. It enables riders to make a smooth ride and get better handling and control.

3. Offer comfortable rides

Just as mentioned above, full-suspension eclectic mountain bikes provide an all-around shock absorption. They can absorb most bumps and dampen vibration, which will be possibly sent to your whole body without the full suspension system. Getting rid of those shocks and vibration can help riders stay away for fatigue so that they can ride more freely and comfortably.

4. Gain more speed

The bumps and vibration while riding off-road affect the speed of an electric mountain bike greatly. And with both rear and front suspension, full-suspension electric mountain bikes can tackle that problem effectively, keeping the speed from getting lower. Moreover, full-suspension electric mountain bikes are usually equipped with powerful motors. This is the key to their ability to run at a higher speed.

Above are the four reasons to purchase full-suspension electric mountain bikes. However, they are not the only choices. There are hardtail electric mountain bikes, which have only front suspension. And they still can be selected for a few reasons:

Low maintenance: Hardtail electric mountain bikes have fewer moving parts, which is the main reason that they need less and easier maintenance. However, it doesn't mean that they need no maintenance. The basic one is still required. Learn more in our Magicycle's ebike maintenance tips.
