Farmers in Himachal using anti-hail nets to protect apple groves

As hailstorm continues to damage the crops, apple farmers in Himachal Pradesh have now have started covering apple groves with anti-hail nets.To get more news about Metal Wire Fence Mesh Acting, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.

The farmers said that these nets, which costs them Rs. 600 and Rs. 800 approximately, protect the crops in hail prone areas, like Rohru, Narkanda, Rampur, Jubble, Kotkhai Theog, Kotgarh, and Chopal.

Earlier, a dozen of anti-hail guns were installed by the government, which the farmers stated were not so successful.

A farmer, named Amar Singh Nalva, said, "The farmers have been benefitted to a great extent by these anti-hail nets. Another benefit of these nets is that it stops the extra growth of the plants."

Director of horticulture, Manohar Lal Dhiman said, "The anti-hail nets should be installed before the setting up of the crop after the flowering. With the climate changing, the demand of anti-hail nets has gone up high as this is the best way for farmers to protect their crop with qualitative and quantitative fruits of apple."

"More funds are being generated by the government for this as the demand has gone up. The government provides nearly 5000 square feet area of apple groves to each farmer as a subsidy. This way the farmers will have to pay only Rs. 30,000 for the anti-hail nets," he added.

Himachal Pradesh has 11 lakh hector land under crop cultivation and out of this two hundred thousand hectors land is of fruit groves.

The economy of thousands of people is dependent on the agricultural produce of apples as it generates over 4500 crore revenue for the people in the state.

The hails and changing climate are the only threat to the apple crop in the state and now due to changing climate, the farmers here have started protecting their crop by covering it through anti-hail nets.

How To Make Curved Welded Mesh Fence?

The segment of fence between each post is always a straight line no matter what the building materials. If the posts are set following an arc or curve, the series of straight lines formed by each fence segment forms a curve. Building a curved welded mesh fence involves the proper placement of the posts to create the proper fence line.To get more news about Camouflage Shade Netting Acting, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.
Step 1

Mark out the curved welded mesh fence. Small projects may be planned by laying a garden hose on the ground; mark bigger projects with spray paint. If you want a perfect curve, choose the center point of the arc and drive a stake at that point. Measure out a string of the desired length and tie one end to the stake. Move around the stake with the spray paint held at the end of the string to create an arc.
Step 2

Select one end of the arc or curve and place a stake at this point. There will be a fence post at this location. Reinforce the post with braces if there is a long run of fencing leading to this post in wire fence projects.
Step 3

Measure from this stake to the next planned location along the curve. Make the measurement in a straight line. For example, if you plan on installing fence posts every 12 feet, mark the point where a 12-foot-long string crosses the curve you marked in Step 1. Repeat the process from the point of the next post until the curve is complete.
Step 4

Dig fence post holes at each marked location. Set fence posts in the holes and tamp the soil around the post.
Step 5

String wire around the outside of the curve for wire fences. By keeping the wire on the outside of the curve, the wire will not lose tension if it becomes disconnected from the posts. Wood fence components can be attached to either side of the posts depending on the desired appearance.

STEEL HEX VS 19 GA WELDED WIRE FENCE

DIY'ers looking for a metal deer fence often turn to two types of fence: Steel Hex Web Fence and Welded Wire Fence. Both are strong metal fences and are used for deer management and rodent protection; however, is one better than the other? Let's explore:To get more news about Commercial Hail Netting Supplier, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.

Steel Hex Web Fencing

Steel Hex Fence is hexagonal in shape and uses its style to trick the eye into thinking it's virtually invisible. Beyond that for the homeowners, the hexagonal shape, complete with PVC-coating, makes it difficult for deer and other animals to chew through the material. The mesh holes are 1" x 1" making it a great critter barrier against bunnies and even squirrels. The steel hexagon fence is a 20 gauge fence that turns into an 18 ga look after PVC. Fence rolls start at 100' in length and go up to 150' in length.

19 Ga Welded Wire Fencing

This type of fence is suggested for critter control at the bottom of a fence; but for deer management, the 14 gauge welded wire fence is a stronger welded fence. The 19 gauge deer fence will appear virtually invisible due to small 1" x 1" mesh holes; but it will stand out more due to its square shape. Nonetheless, this fence is PVC-coated is strong and will remain durable for 20+ years. The fence is offered in 50' and 100' roll sizes offering smaller fence roll options for homeowners

The Crazy Hail Protection We Built for Our Garden

Anyway, we've been getting a TON of requests for more info on our one-of-a-kind hail netting system we built over the garden this year, so here are as many details as I can pack into one post.To get more news about Hail netting for gardens Acting, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.

Prior to building our crazy hail protection structure, my plan to prevent hail damage was dismal at best. It usually involved a mad dash to the garden with buckets and sheets whenever a thunderstorm approached on the horizon?

After a violent afternoon storm SHREDDED the garden and murdered the trampoline last summer (2019), I told Christian I couldn't garden another year unless we had some sort of hail protection plan in place.

It felt like I was playing Russian Roulette with my garden every year... I would plant my seedlings in March, nurture them for months, carefully transplant them outside, weed and water, only to have them randomly destroyed.Initially we thought about hail cloth, which isn't really cloth, but more of a rolled wire mesh. It can be a brilliant option for protecting your garden if you build a frame and stretch the cloth over it. However, due to the size and quantity of our beds, Christian wasn't super stoked about building individual hail cloth frames for each and every bed...

I could pull it over the top of the garden when nasty weather was on the horizon, and pull it back when the skies were sunny.

Unfortunately, due to the size of our garden plot and our legendary winds, we ultimately realized we'd need something a little more permanent.I'd never seen anything like the covering I was envisioning my mind, so Google and I spent some quality time together as we brainstormed our options.

Turns out, gardeners are not the other ones who fear hail- orchards are just are susceptible to hail damage, and orchard owners have come up with a brilliant option:

PLAIN STEEL WIRE MESH

In the wire mesh industry, plain steel - or carbon steel, as it sometimes referred to-is a very popular metal that is commonly manufactured in both woven and welded wire mesh specifications. It is primarily composed of iron (Fe) with a small amount of carbon (C). It is a relatively low cost option that is versatile and widespread in its use. Some of the industries and uses for plain steel wire mesh are as follows:To get more news about Metal Wire Mesh Panels Acting, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.

Plain steel wire mesh - available from stock or through custom manufacturing - is strong, durable and magnetic. Oftentimes, it is dark in color, particularly when compared to bright aluminum or stainless steel meshes. Plain steel does not resist corrosion and will rust in most atmospheric conditions; because of this, in certain industries, plain steel wire mesh is a disposable item.

There are times when certain users will opt to coat a plain steel welded or woven wire mesh. This is normally considered an aftermarket process as there are dozens of coating options, including galvanizing, PVC or powder coating, and special paints and coatings.

Darby maintains an expansive inventory of many plain steel wire mesh specifications, including many of the standard or market grades items as well as a handful of the more unique plain steel mesh specifications. Additionally, Darby routinely supplies custom manufactured woven and welded plain steel mesh.

How to choose right shade cloth that makes a difference to plants

It is an enjoyable experience to see how quickly your cut flowers/plants grow in Spring. The temperature is comfortable and the environment is friendly to your plants. As summer approaches and the temperature outside begins to rise, you start to water your plants more. But have you thought of putting "sun screen" on your plants!! ---- Provide shade cloth to cover your plants as a shelter, this will save you water and energy as well as make your plants grow faster and be healthier. To get more news about Greenhouse Garden Shading Net Acting, you can visit dtwiremesh.com official website.

What you need to do is know more about this "sun screen" and choose the right one to protect your plants from sunburn and other fatal factors under the fierce sun in summer.Shade cloth was developed over 30 years ago to provide protection for plants from the harsh Australian climate. Shade-cloth is used in many different applications in the domestic, horticulture, commercial, industrial, sport, leisure and agriculture industries.

In summer, shade cloth could be used to cover your shade house skeleton or greenhouse glazing, to cool it down for your plants. Hobbyists, growers, nurseries, gardeners and farmers should protect their young plants from direct sunlight. Ideal for plants when they are establishing and then gradually hardening off, shade cloth is also used to shield pets, livestock and people from sun and wind.
Shade cloth is usually made of loosely woven polyester or even aluminium and can be found in varying densities or degrees of shade from approximately 5% to 95%. All shade cloth is water permeable so that rainwater, sprinklers and irrigation systems can keep your plants hydrated.

As we can see from above, to protect your plants from extremely hot weather and make them grow healthily in hot summer, knitted shade cloth is a better choice due to its life expectancy, functionalities and easy installation.

Percentages
Shade cloth is woven or knitted in different densities. We call the densities of Shade Cloth "Percentages". The difference in percentage lets different amounts of sunlight to penetrate, which means that the percentage of shade cloth you choose, blocks out that percentage of the sun. Therefore, what you grow will help determine the percentage of shade cloth you need.

As we all know, sunlight is so crucial to a plants' growth, so choose the right density and as low a density as you can get away with.

Usually a shade percentage of 30-50% is ideal for vegetables, while 80-90% is ideal for sheltering people. Most plants will do best with a maximum of 40% - 60% shade. However, when growing some shade loving plants such as orchids and some ferns, 75% or higher maybe needed to get correct light levels.

The delivery was made on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, which commemorates the Aug. 24, 1991 Declaration of Independence by Ukraine from the United Socialist Soviet Republic (Russia). That day also marks six months since Russian forces invaded the European nation, triggering a war that continues to kill innocent civilians and wreak havoc across Ukraine.

"We would like to say thanks to Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Morris County Sheriff's Office ... and the people of Morris County for your constant support of Ukraine and your generous donation. Your donations not only provide us with the necessary protection (from) injury, but also assures us we are not alone in this fight for democracy of the entire world," said an unidentified Ukrainian commander in a video statement shared by the UACCNJ.
Roksolana Leshchuk, Chairwoman of the UACCNJ, shared the video during an emotional ceremony at the center, where she and others expressed heart-felt gratitude to the people of Morris County as they also described the day-to-day struggles of the Ukrainian people.

"It was all possible because of you, because people of Morris County - regular Americans - feel our pain. They feel what we are going through. They understand democracy," Leshchuk said. "It's unimaginable. I don't know how to express my gratitude and the gratitude of our center, and the people of Ukraine. It's not enough. I don't have words to tell you how much appreciation we have. This is helping us to live through another day."
Prosecutor Robert Carroll and his staff delivered the bulk of the vests (85), while Sheriff James Gannon's office donated the rest (15). They also donated 2,000 millennium gas masks during a 10 a.m. visit to the UACCNJ center in Whippany that included Morris County Commissioner Director Tayfun Selen, senior staff from the county, prosecutor's office and sheriff's office.

"We have all been touched by the valiant efforts made by the citizens and military of Ukraine in fighting for democratic freedom, not only for their country, but indeed for the free world," Prosecutor Carroll said. "Having received appropriate licensing from federal authorities, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, with the support of our County Commissioners and leadership, Sheriff James Gannon and our Police Chief's Association, is pleased to announce that we are donating 100 protective bulletproof vests that we hope will help protect the lives of brave Ukrainians from the vicious genocide of the Russian invaders. We all pray for the children, women, men and especially the courageous soldiers defending their homeland and families," during the delivery."
